Brasília will play host to the 12th Global Healthy Workplace Summit. The annual event organised by the Global Centre for Healthy Workplaces (GCHW) will take place on 6-7 November in partnership with Servico Social da Industria (SESI).

It will be the second time Brazil has hosted the summit, having been previously held the prestigious event nine years ago in Florianopolis. The summit will receive presentations from employers around the world seeking the 2024 awards for best workplace health employers. Finalists will be announced shortly.

Mars international, headquartered in the US, won last year’s best multinational, Australia’s TLC Healthcare won the large organisation award and Brazil’s Copel Foundation took top prize for SMEs. Applicants submitting for 2024 is at an all-time high indicating the growing importance employers attach to caring for their employees.

The impact climate change has on working conditions will be centre stage in this year’s deliberations along with the pervasive effects of social media, government strategies in promoting good mental health, and how markets value employers who prioritise employee wellbeing.
